Default THE MAKING OF A GOOD STREET ONLY CAR?

i for one never plan on any kind of drag strip racing. maybe an occasional pass or two on a fun night, but otherwise my car will be for street use only on nice days. What are all the good combinations for a good street car? that has to a point where you could just go too far right? what im looking for is a nice, mean looking car that does well on an occasional light to light kinda thing. What all should i invest in?

What's too far? If it isn't a DD, they there really isn't a 'too far' in my book.

What do you define "quick" as?

If you just want to impress people and not blow away times at the track...

-Catback + O/R midpipe
-Short throw shifter
-D/Rs (possibly DDs in the rear)
-Springs/shocks/struts/CC plates
-Gears
-Tuner

You're not gonna gain much "quick" with bolt-ons but these mods will definitely make it FEEL quicker. If you want some real "quick", do all that plus a TB/plenum and some other supporting mods, and blow it.

nah...i dont want that IRS junk...haha....i guess i dont really know what i want yet.....that could explain why i havent bought anything yet except a used MRT offroad H-pipe, and ROUSH short throw. i want everything NOW!!but i dont have all the money in the world. im almost debating skip the bolt ons and buy that mongoose supercharger kit from MPH? my car is an 02 GT with 27,000 miles...if this supercharger kit was installed correctly and tuned correctly how long would a stock motor last?
