just curious, at what rpm do you guys shift for normal driving? i usually shift at 2.3k-3k

 

thats probably about where most people shift, I tend to shift right around 2k myself.

 

2 grand or below for "good mileage"[&:]

 

1900-2100... except when going from 4th-5th, that goes up to 2400.

 

2kish is most common

 

I usually shift just shy of 3k because I love hearing my exhaust. And with my 4:10's, my rpms climb awefully fast anyways.

 

3k from 1-2. 2k for the rest (shifting 2k in 1st makes it bog BAD)

now on the track its 6200 every gear :P

I will pretty often shift at 3k as well. I like to drive my stang that way, but anytime I am in some other lesser car, I push it harder. About once a day I will shift at 6800 through the gears, just because I can... and that is the way that I like it... were is my blower?

 

2nd i take up to 2500, shift to 4th, and then at 2k i shift to 5th, i skip 1st and 3rd cuz the 4.10's just make them feel pointless for daily driving.
