Borla + X pipe = ?

Borla + X pipe = ?
My current exhause setup is stock manifolds o/r BBK X pipe and weld in flowmaster 40s. I like it and all but i was considering upgrading to a Borla catback. How does Borla sound with an o/r X? Dont link me to soundclips.. I want an opinion from someone who has heard this setup in person. And most of all will borla still give me that deep muscle rumble?

They are loud as heck, if you get the stingers and go over 1/2 throttle or 2500 rpms. I know you said you didnt want any clips but if you have good speakers you can tell from this

+1.. I have them with an H They are very deep at idle, and pretty quiet until you get to around 2500 after that, they are loud, with and x they should sound awesome.. Get it and post a clip...

Depends on which bolra you're looking at. I had the reagular borla mufflers, not the stingers. They sounded great withmy slpo/r x pipe. But it didn't have that muscle car rumble. They were pretty quiet at idle, but screamed at wot. Chambered mufflers really give that rumble sound at idle. I eventually switched to bassani and couldn't be happier.

I don't have any personal experience with an X-pipe....but I have Borla Stingers with a MAC O/R Prochamber, and I'm absolutely in love with it. Relatively quiet when cruising or just takin it easy...but when you get on it, WOW! Of course, the LT headers probably have something to do with that...but this catback sounds dead sexy.

My thinking is that it would be hard to make Stingers sound bad....haha, hopefully they'll sound amazing with whatever you pair them up with, for the price you pay. But yeah, I can see that being maybe a tad raspy, but not nearly as bad as some setups, my car has just about no rasp at all. Whatever you end up doing, I'm sure you'll end up with a bigass grin on your face when you hear that mild stock exhaust turn into something that turns heads.

I see alot of guys with Borla going with the Magnaflow X or the Bassani X and it sounds really good. With an O/R midpipe, its gonna get pretty loud... and with an X its gonna have just a little rasp as well. CobraBob told me that he had the Steeda catback (alot like Borla) and a Magnaflow catted X and said that it sounded too exotic for him and that he would've tried the Steeda with a MRT catted H instead.
