Default LT header questions

Well i'm always planning for the future...I will be getting a 03/04 mach in april....So i'm always lookings around for parts, and whats best to do...When it comes to headers, i found these SLP LT's that claim when put together with the SLP shorty X, that it will add 30RWHP..thats pretty intense...I also noticed not many people have SLP LT's ...so i was wondering if these headers are good or not....There 900 bucks...what do you guys think or have any suggestions....

The SLP headers and overall exhaust products are some of the best on the market for our cars. They feature stainless steel along with coating, whereas just about every other header brand only coats their headers, therefore the SLP headers will last a bit longer. I know of many people who have the SLP exhaust system and would do it no other way.

Just make sure you know that once you go SLP, you can't go back. There are no mixing and matching of parts with an SLP system, they use different technology, so for instance you want SLP headers, you are going to get the SLP X too. Catbacks don't matter, you can obviously throw any catback on any system. But for instance if down the road you decide you want a MAC prochamber... not going to happen.

Also, not positive about the 30 HP, most full exhaust system will yield about 22-25 rwhp on a 2V, therefore you may see around 30 for a DOHC, however, not very fimiliar with the responses from a 4V seeing as I don't have one, lol. SLP has some great products though, well worth the money, IF you have it

I might just be a cheap bastard but I would never pay that much for headers. Other cheaper ones do the same and will last as long as you have the car.

From what I have seen...mid-lengths show better results over LT's on the 4V.

Thats good info. I have never heard that. Do you know why they get better results?
