Yea that wouldn't be very practical. Especially if you got it painted. You would have to find a nice cushiony, non-abrasive spot to lay it on whenever you wanted to take a look under your hood.

Go to Carbonware.com. They have nice fiberglass hoods. Fiberglass is a hell-of-a lot easier to work with if it doesn't fit properly.I bought my carbon fiber hood from VIS but it was nowhere near oem fitment, like they claimed. Required a little work to fit exact.

You could always prep it yourself. You can access info online on how to do it. All you really need is water, a bucket, maybe some Bondo and sand paper (grit depends on the surface quality).
