99 GT Conked Out
Hey,
I have a stock 99 GT, that didn't want to crank this morning. It is a dry, sunny day car so it has been a bit since I have had it out. It cranked great about a week ago when I shuffled the cars around the garage, but this morning, coughed and shook a few times and cut out. The smell of exhaust was all around.
The starter works, but the engine does not make a peep. I believe my mistake was just moving the car that day without letting it warm up. It was cranked all of 5 seconds.
I guess the question lies in how bad can it be and will it hurt it anymore if it was a little bit before I got it to the shop? Also, should I try to crank it again when I get home tonight and maybe blow out whatever crud there may be, or will that do more harm than good at this point?
My car and I thank you for the help!
Andy

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I always keep a full tank in the car since I don't drive her as much. When I turn the key, all lights come on, the starter whirrls, but absolutly no attempt to turn over. No noise or even a shake. The battery is new within the past year I believe.
