Depends if your 2000GT had traction control or not/ They have basicslly the same components and are both rwd. Any vehicles RWD FWD or 4wd all suck on ice! I love these people that have a pick-up or a Subaru and think they are indestructable in the snow and ice! You need to be careful!

i love the kids with the WRX's around me drive like maniacs when its wet/snowy/icy out... its called physics it applys to all of us

does that 06 v6 come with "posi" if it does than you should be fine aslong as you get some pure winter tires.

no the s197 v6s dont come with factory tloks as far as i kno.

Sucks to see the pics of the GT. As far as advice for the S197, get rid of that horrid dealer badge on the back of it.[:'(]

The suspension on the new car is completely different, but it won't have any effect while driving in snow/ice.

Nothing but snow tires/tire chains really will, and on black ice nothing works.

Alright. The 2000 did not have TC on it, but the 2006 does.

Oh and that dealer badge, it will be coming off somehow. Is there any way to do it at home without damaging the paint?

hairdryer and fishing line.... but ive never done it so this is what ive heard is one way to get rid of it

use a hairdryer and heat the decal up and then gently rub it with some alcohol (or Goo Gone). it'll come off then.
