i would think the 8" would look to stubby tho. I've never seen an 8one on a stang so i figured the 17" streamline look would be nice.

i just unscrewed mine...i don't listen to radio anymore so reception is just fine lol..naw really when i do listen to radio reception is not that bad...depends on your area

i just took mine off and cut it to desired length and i ground the top down so i couldd put the ball back on and used some jb liquid weld to make sure it stays on and then painted her up thats pretty much all i did i think i cut mine at 14 inches and it looks good o and for reception its about the same depends on where i am and what station i am listening to

Jeez, some of you are wasting you money by buying a shorty. Just chop it off. I chopped mine down to 14" and I still get the same reception.

I bought mine from bluovalindustries.com. However when I was putting it on, the threads on the antanna snapped off and got stuck down inside the hole. So now I have no anttanna and no idea how to fix it.
Go to Sears and get this tool...

Ditto. I have not noticed a change in reception, but I really can't say I listen to the radio all that much.
