How do you guys make your shorty antennas? Are you just chopping 'em off with a Dremel tool and calling it a day? Or are you ordering them from somewhere. Hows reception? Thanks.

 

I bought mine from Dallas Mustang for about $30, it was like 8"

Iused to have one and got pretty much the same signal as with a normal one.

 

I'm planning on going to a junk yard and getting one to chope down to 17"(about even with the cabin top)..and keeping my stock just in case...

you shouldn't tella diff in reception

 

I chopped mine off... there isnt a shorty antanae out there short enough for me! I chopped it off and put a K&N ball on it... you will not find these K&N ***** however... it was a ball I got from Sema 2 years ago... it had a string on it to hange fromthe rearview mirror.. i took the string off and stuck it on the antanae! Before that I had a 76 ball on it, funny... the 76 ball gets stolen all the time... no one has taken the K&N ball yet!

thats different. never seen a ball on a stang. interesting.

 

I got one from CJ Ponyparts. I really like it better than that sail mast that comes w/ the car.

 

shortest one from american muscle...works well (reception wise) and looks 394723 times better than stocker

 

I bought mine from bluovalindustries.com. However when I was putting it on, the threads on the antanna snapped off and got stuck down inside the hole. So now I have no anttanna and no idea how to fix it.
