Are Shorty Headers Worth it ? With A S/C
Im looking to put exhaust on my 2000 gt and also installing a vortech v-2 sq with vortech after cooler .....was goin to get shorty's and offroad x pipe and magnaflow catback but was told from a bunch off people including the guy i bought the charger from that shorty's will not help over stock manifolds with a s/c ...i would be wasting my money ??? could anyone relate to this or have any input ????

if your gonna go with offroad pipes, then get long tubes, only reason to buy shorties is to keep somewhat smog legal. But if you have your heart set on shorties, buy ceramic coated shorties, the ceramic coat helps keep the heat from the exhaust in, plus it also helps if there are oil leaks it'll protect the shorties too.

you could see some gains over stock... like maybe 5rwhp if you do get shorties id go with like JBA they make quality headers. But if you have a supercharger its best to go with longtubes because there less restrictive and allow more flow over shorties. I personally cant go with longtubes hence why i haven't done them yet... Stupid emissions[:@][:@][:@]

bassani mids and z pipe is what i'd run if they made them for a auto...but being f/i you will benefit from shorty's but LT's or Mid's are a better investment.
