Ok, I ordered some redline tranny fluid that should be here friday. I here it's better to fill the tranny through the shifter. BUT I really want to install this shifter NOW!! Will it work just as good to use the fill hole?? w/ a fluid pump?!?

I have ADD/ADHD really bad, and I don't think I can wait till friday night to install it!!!!!

Nothing worse than having a new toy that you cant play with... I say throw in the new shifter and enjoy it!

Im confused? you dont have to change the fluid to install a shifter. And its not "better" to fill thorugh the shifter, its just "easier"

I'm in the middle of installing the shifter! Need some help.. It says NOT to install the rubber boot that was attached to the factory shifter!? If I leave it out won't dirt & $hit get into the shifter/transmission?

Im assuming you mean the little rubber boot on the inside of the outside leather boot. You may need to cut it so it fits but you can reinstall it. I did and it all worked out just right.

Yea that's the one! it just says nothing about reinstalling it in the instructions? [&:]

I didnt reuse it with mine and its perfectly fine. I think it just makes for more work.

Well, I installed the d@mn boot! lol & got it installed. I like it, it'll take some getting use to.. feels a lil raspy. But I think that'l get better w/ time.
