Default e-brake question

So my emergency/parking brake (whatever you want to call it) sucks. Is there anyway to adjust/tighten it. Yea, i leave my car in gear and all when i park it but if i forget or something my car will roll away...seriously.

So yea is there anyway to fix this myself?

If you need to "tightne it" it's prob. all stretched out! Does it pull up hard? Have you changed your rear pads lately? I also think there is an adjustment if you take your center console apart. not a screw type, but slot type where you slide the cable end in another hole, it look kinda like your throttle body cable end with that metal cylinder looking thing on the end!

alright dude. thanks for the help. No i havnt check the brakes...i just got the car car about 6 months ago and i was told that they were "new", but you know how that goes. I may try tightening it sometime in the near future, maybe that will do the trick. If it doesnt whatever. Its not like im trying to go straight d1 or something you know.
