Default When is it too old to get blown

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to ask what would be too many miles in your mixed opinions to get blown? I have a 99 GT with 115k on it, and am thinking about getting an s/c. Also is there anything else i should have done before the s/c is installed or is the stock engine o.k.

Thanks,

Depends on how much boost you plan on running.

Need to make sure your injectors and fuel pump are up to the task as well. That's the very basic stuff...

Some of the guys who went to forced induction here could help out more, I'd be suspicious of the stock clutch with that many miles as well.

Your getting up there..you would def be taking a risk but it's not like it's a waste of money, transfer it to another motor if your doesn't last wouldn't be hard. It could go another 50k and be fine it may only go another 10-15k its a crap shoot ya know. just my .02 Dan

Thanks, i thought that i would need to replace the injectors anyway, and as far as boost i just want something nice and safe like 8-10 psi, and as far as a clutch goes its an auto.

Thanks, alot

I'd be thinking more like 6-8psi.

Ah I think you'll be fine. 115k isnt that much on a mod motor, as long as its been taking care of.

Get yourself a NX nitrous kit and spray 175shot, untuned, a much as you want.

When the motor blows then you can rebuild and add that supercharger you want.
