Default White face gauge kits

Hey,

Any body used those white face gauge kits. It seems there are some that light up, have a dimmer yadda, yadda. And I saw some on ebay that just looked like the faces. Do they still light with the stock illumination? I need a littke guidance here. Thanks

You pretty much have it. There are some that are just a plastic layer that you place in front your existing
display, and the lights shine through it. Then there are some that have a layer of material that illuminates and have to be wired up. Theses tend to be a little thicker and can cause your guages to stick, but the lighting is soo much better than the factory yellow bulbs.

Thanks, it's a tough call, better lighting or simpler install[:@].

I have silver UPR reverse glow gauges and it was easy to wire. There is a blank wiring spot on the back of your headlight switch that gives power that can be controlled by your headlight dimmer. Thats what I wired mine too, and the ground i just used a self tapping screw into the metal dash structure directly behind the gauges. Also, DONT take the needles off if you install it, just simply slide the new gauge face over them.

I have a set ofwhite faced indiglow's.They change from blue to green, and dim. I almost need them all the way dim at night or I can't see my windshield. I usually keep them blue...kinda looks like the Cobra's. I have the orange needles too. The only pain is that the switch to change color and dim is right above my shins on the underdash plastic.

And I just bought them . They really dont seem that hard to wire. AmericanMuscle has quite a write up for a how-to on them. To be honest, the hardest part is trying to get the headlight **** off lol. Im just praying that these guages arent so thick that I have to scrape off the existing black face guages. I guess we'll see in a couple days....
