I'm assuming somone told you you have weak or bad half shafts then right?.. I'm not sure if the 01's and 03-04's have the same halfshaft, but the 03-04 halfshafts are pretty expensive. I think somewhere between $1000 and $1500.

i dont know what a half shaft is but if "I" were gonna run slicks which one day i probably will... i would go with
31 Spline Moser Axles
31 Spline Eaton Posi LSD Differential
T/A Girdle thingy

and um ya that should be good enough.

Lol. Yea, those damn halfshafts are expensive! Even to replace the stock ones. And theaftermarket ones are even more money. But yes, there is a brace. And it's considered to be one of the best investments on IRS stangs. It is an IRS brace made by a company called BilletFlow. They make the best brace available for the IRS. And it's cheap! Only $150.00! The brace supports the differential cover, which has the tendency to flex and break. You can get it from http://www.lethalperformance.com/.I just checked for you. After you click 99-01 Cobra, It's under suspension/braces and brackets.
