Default shift kit...?

What does a shift kit actually do.?? Do they help an auto out alot.?? And also whats a good site to be looking for some shift kits..?

They make your shifts faster/harder. they do help autos alot, tho you sacrafice some comfort when it shifts. Im gunna go with transgo, they seem to make the best and know whats going on. Now im not sure if i want the automatic shifts one, or the "stick" shift, which requires you to do all the shifting...

shift kits are great. the reduce clutch slip and ruduce heat, which makes the trans life better. just go with a "stage one" kit. i have a B&M in my truck and i love it. the only time the shifts are "rough" is when i'm deep in the throttle. id be all over it if i was u, just my .02 tho

I bought a transgo shift kit from summit for 120 dollars, and installed it myself (along with 2 other people). Not that hard to do, jsut follow the instructions. It even comes with a tape to watch that shows you how to do it.
