I've got an 01' GT and I have no idea what kind of transmission I have in it. I'm looking into buying a short shifter but not sure which one to go with.

unless I am crazy I believe you have the 3650...

when in 2001 was it manufactured. look on the side of the door. early 2001 has t-45

Very true... another way to tell is look at your rear windowdefroster button, if it is on the dash it is early 01, and you have the T-45, if it is on the console you have the 3650 tranny!

whatever kind of tranny you have, get a MGW short thow.

if you have a k under tr on the door jam you got a 3650. Or you can be like me and pull up the oasis and everything and read that you have a 3650 but when you take the trans out it ends up being a t45. WTF!!?!??! I HATE FORD!

so if the rear defroster is in the center console its a 3650? console as in the middle? i think the button is right infront of the shifter..... so thats means 3650?

Look at the sticker in the door jamb. Look under TR. If theres a K under the TR, then you have the 3650

What are the differences between the 3650 and the other t-56 or whatever that other one is?
