This is the nitrous system that I want to put in my 02 GT. I currently have patriot stage II heads and a set of comp cams already installed. And all the lovely bolt-ons like pulleys, K&N filter, TB, Full exhaust and so on. So now I’m wondering will my block be able to handle this added HP, is WET style the way to go with Nitrous, any suggestion on this would be appreciated.

"My" opinion is that if you stay with a 100 shot and lower you will be ok. but you need to get your car TUNED. It is the life or death of your motor with nitrous. Personally "I" would not put a 150 shot on a stock 4.6 block. And wet is a good pic. Eliminates the chances of build up in your intake and gives you consistent shots.

if you have the money, get a wet shot. you have to invest more money, but its more efficient, more powerful, and you can get more consistent runs in. my friend had 15 bottles threw his LS1 camaro of 125 wet shot and it was running like a dream until he hit the wall...i've had about 12 bottles of 75 wet shot, two of which i had the system ghetto rigged and it ran like **** and detonated and pinged which probably ****ed my motor pretty badly, but still to this day it runs great. i get to see the internal damage some time in the spring when i do the PI swap.
You'd have to explain those "other ways," as a switch chip is $100ish, and two tunes at $400 each, you very quickly end up paying more than you did for the nitrous in the first place.
I'd -SUGGEST- a Zex kit unless you're going to go nitrous crazy. If you're just going to spray every now and then a Zex kit is fine and already has a fuel pressure safety switch and a WOT switch. Add a window switch into the mix and you're as safe as you could possibly be.
Get a wet kit, you'll get the fuel pressure safety switch with the Zex kit, AND you won't need a separate tune for the nitrous. Install, jet it properly (if you are worried, put the next size up fuel jet in)... and pay for a dyno pull with a wideband O2, get a baseline run, and get another pull on the spray. Watch the A/F ratio. If your A/F ratio is rich, move the jet down one size... if it's perfect, you're all set. Use a 75 shot, you won't need to adjust the timing. If you have a hand-held tuner or will be getting a tune, have them move your timing back two degrees for the 100 shot, and 4 degrees for the 125. Given your other modifications though, I wouldn't do more than a 75, no need to push the motor to its limits.

i agree with shadow drake. if your gonna spray once in a while and its gonna be a street car or daily driver, just get a zex kit. They are simple, easy and work very well. If nitrous is your thing and you want to go crazy, get something other than zex.

im doing the same thing on m beat 98. PI with a dry 75 shot once a week or so. I think as long as you hook the kit up correctly and dont run more than 100 shot you should be fine. with PI heads and nitrous i'd think your compression would go to 11:1, so get good head gaskets
