if you have to go catted for emissions, then doesn't that rule out lt's?

fyi, my bbk catted x had some fitment issues with the driver's side manifold studs and a little flange on them... had to get a new stud without a flange installed... PITA, but not too expensive to get done at the local exhaust shop. nobody else seems to have this issue, but I'm done buying bbk items. looks like a one-armed blind monkey with down syndrome welded the midpipe together.
with all that said, the cattedX and magnaflows sounds awesome.

I have the SLP catted x and have fitment issues with mine. It doesnt line up right with my exhaust manifold on the pass. side. The flange is not centered. I have gone through 2 donut gaskets in the past 3 weeks. I called up SLP and they said that there is no way this is right and gave me a bunch of b/s about my mechanic not knowing anything, which I thought was funny since its a dealership that my whole family has always gone to and never had any probs. I did end up taking it to 2 other shops and got the same results that the dealership gave. I plan on going with long tubes to get rid of this leak though, and was leaning toward BBK. However, reading about redass's bbk probs I have no idea what I want to do.

I had the same driver's side stud problem that redass02GT had, however I was installing the SLP catted X-pipe.
PITA to say the least. I had to drive the Stang down to the local muffler shop without any exhaust to have them remove the two studs from the driver's side manifold. The rest of the install wasn't too hard.
Getting all the connections to seal properly took me a long time and I still have some minor leaks around the cats. I could have everything welded tight but then I wouldn't be able totake it apart.
Installing the cat-back was alot easier than the X-pipe but once it's done, it sounds great.

I myself have been tossing around the idea of midpipes, I am considering a prochamber, or possibly a MRT catted H. Both are some of the most expensive midpipes on the market, but.....that MRT is stainless and sounds sweet. The prochamber also sounds sweet.

Any suggestions on where to buy online? I have never used ebay becauseI prefer a reputable retailer, but that being said, i will try about anything to save money.
