I just wonder sometimes are their any differences between the 03 and 04 Gt models mechanically? Are the 5-speed tranies the same and are the autos the same as well?

Only difference I can think of is the need for O2 extensions on aftermarket midpipes, only required on 04 GT's. But mechanically speaking, I don't think so.

Why is it that everybody recommends the 5-speed tranny? I know it's less drive train loss and a few tenths off the 1/4 mile, but it seems like I see way more threads with problems on the manual tranny. Is the auto more durable because I rarely run into threads with people reporting problems with the auto?

dont do neutral drops or manualy shift the auto and it will last forever + there is so much more potential, epsecially when running nitrous
