Default Tuners?

I have a few questions about the tuners out there like xcal and what-not... anyways can you change your gas readings? Like set it to premium, if so will you notice a little power? Secondly, when I get gears will I be able to tune that into my car? Lastly, will you guys please explain all of the benefits, and would I be able to do the tunes, or would a shop have to? Sorry for my ignorance lol, thanks in advance!

Default RE: Tuners?

The best way is to buy a tuner that your local performance shop uses ie. Xcal or Diablo and have the cardynotuned. I would not suggest doing it yourself. Tuners can come with a "canned" tune but you do not seeany noteworthygains. You can use it to re-calibrate your speedo after gear changes
