Whats the biggest shot of nitrous a stang with 80k can take!?
The title basically says it all.. My buddys looking into some power adders and is working on a low budget (1k) and i suggested nitrous.. Now he's looking into it and would like to know whats the biggest shot his stang can handle.. Its a dd with about 80k miles on it and he'll probably only be spraying on some weekends... I also suggested a wet kit.. What do yall think and suggest.. Any help is appreciated!

If he gets a tune he can get away with a 150 shot!!! Just think of all those non-pi guys that do the PI swap and add mega bolt-ons. All those bolt-ons adds up towards 125hp at the flywheel??? So why would a 100 shot be all it can handle? Also think of adding a S/C with an intercooler. That would yield roughly 20hp per PSI. Most of you would say 8 psi is the max you would run on a stock block which is right aroung 140-160hp with an intercooler and a tune! A 150shot is good and safe. Also a wet kit is good because it doesn't allow build-up in the intake maniflod and allows the ability to spray the much needed extra fuel all by itself along with the spray! This makes your engine run smooth and less tendency to run lean like a dry kit would. This also allows you to use your stock fuel pump, regulator, and injectors without upgrading anything! A wet kit does invlove a little more installation time, but is well worth the effort and few bucks!
