Mine too. I figured this out when I installed them on a stock motor and ended up with PTV. The I got a built motor with notched pistons.

No the non-pi have 11cc dished pistons and the PI have 17cc dished. So I suppose if it happened on the pi then it will def. happen on my non-pi! bummer I'm just gonna sell the damn thing. no mods are worth anything and the cars got no power. I duno why I bought a ford. I've always been a GM guy!

there is no difference in the short blocks of a npi and a pi block except the piston have a deeper dish but like someone said above that make no difference because the valve actualy hit the flat top surface of the piston.

Just get an entire PI engine from a junkyard and you will be much happyer. If you still want to spend the money on the cams at that point you can get a set of the 270s etc.
