lowering the car

RE: lowering the car
eventually you'll hafta buy new shocks/struts.... our stangs stock shocks/struts wont be able to handle the shorter springs for long.... if your gonna lower it, have patience, save some money for install if your having someone else do it, and buy everything at once, shocks/struts/springs. But for a lowering spring h&r's are supposed to be good.

RE: lowering the car
Well it depends on how low you wanna go. I went with Eibach Sportline springs on mine which drops the car roughly 2"andI absolutely love them. Realy adds a lot to the look of the ride and not to mention the much better handling. If you do decide to drop the car more than 1.5" then you will need to replace the stock strut tower mounts. I went with Maximum Motorsports C/C plates which are supposed to be the best out there and i can see why. Finally, no you will not have to replace your stock shocks/struts with lowering springs. They will recieve the same amount of wear on a lowered car as they would a stock ride height car. That is unless you want a stiffer, better handling car then I'd replace them, but you dont need to.

RE: lowering the car
I lowered mine 1.25" and it hadles a lot better. You don't HAVE to replace the shocks/struts but it would be a good idea. I didn't with mine and this was 40,000 miles ago and I haven't seen any problems with them (yet). The only thing you sacrifice with springs is ride quality but who buys a Mustang for ride quality! Good luck
