Default Predator problem - Please help

Normally, I consider myself pretty darn knowledgeable with the Predator, but this one has got me stumped.

We've finished the ProCharger install on my friend's. He's already used the Predator to install the canned Diablo tune that comes with the programmer, and it loaded it just fine. It also backed up the car just fine. On top of that, we were also able to download the backup file to multiple PCs using both straight serial cable and also a USB-to-serial adapter.

The problem is when we try to load the ProCharger tune sent to us from RPM Outlet. When you click the "Send to tool" button, it asks for the tune and the basefile. From there on out, communication times out. It'll sit there for 15-20 seconds until we get the error message: "Could not start the download - Destination device not found".

The funny thing is, the only problem I've ever had with the Predator is the occasional communications problem. However, it's always been something I set up wrong with the com ports or something. Everything else seems to work with the programmer. This is the only thing that won't work, and unfortunately... we can't drive the car until it's fixed.

So, that being said... has anyone seen this problem before???

Can't help you there, but you should call their support people and have them help you out.

I was kinda hoping someone here had experienced the problem. As you can imagine we won't be able to talk to them until Monday.

I've actually had nothing but good luck with RPM. Sometimes they're slow with updated tunes... but hey, they're free.

This particular tune was requested in the morning. They had it to us by lunchtime.

Can a bad tune cause it not to load up? That doesn't make any sense to me....

**REQUEST**

Can someone send me a tune for their 2004 (or below) SN95 so I can see if it's a corrupt tune. It doesn't have to match his setup... just as long as the computer is the same. That would rule out a tune.

On the off-chance that someone has their car setup similar to his and could send us a good tune, here's his info:

- ProCharger D1SC @ 10psi
- 42lb injectors
- Manual transmission
- Stock 3.55 gears (not a big deal... we can edit this)
- MAFia on position two (also not a big deal, we can set it back to zero)
