Default 13 MPG sound right to you?

so i drive a 1996 Mustang GT getting average 13mpg. ran a couple tests w/ coasting alot and driving hard... still avg 13mpg city/higway together.

-current mods- (cant afford to save enough for new mods until i get this mpg fixed... spending over $140 a month )
Full Flowmasters 40 Series Catback 2.5" piping w/ 3.5"tailpipe
JLT Performance Ram Air Intake

currently at 55k miles, bought it at 39k awhile back...
I've recently replaced my sparkplugs w/ new titanium ones... my drive belt is fine. doing a tranny flush next weekend(dont know if that would affect my mpg or not..) i have new Falken 275/40ZR17 tires at 32PSI, my alignment is fine. Just cleaned my MAF sensor(that was quiet dirty)... but i dont knwo what could be my problem with my crappy mpg.... help please! it'd save me soo much money if i could get this problem done.

I would say 13 city with aggressive driving would be normal. But it shouldnt be that low when mixed with highway. Just keep your foot out of it.

How much city do you drive.. I barely drive freeway and I get about 15-16 MPGs. If you've checked and cleaned everything like you say you have, it's probably your right foot.

That seems like pretty crappy mpg. Have changed your checked your air filter, fuel filter, and psi of tires lately?

yeah i did that all already recently too... air filter, fuel filter back in january, and my psi i just checked it 2mins ago to make sure its at 32PSI on all fours... well i ran a FULL tank cruising (more city than highway) and got 13mpg and then i filled up next week and drove harder most of the time and still got 13mpg average (more city than highway) ....

Man, that's weird I almost average about 19-20 mpg freeway and 17-18 city. Anybody have an idea why he's getting such bad gas mileage?

yeah it really is everyone tells me on other forums that i should be getting 18-20mpg average but not tell me whats wrong or what to do

some suggestion i got was to get it tuned (dynotune) and it may fix the problem, but i see it wont do so much since i have VERY LITTLE modifications done to it for now
