Transmission is fuggy !!!

Default Transmission is fuggy !!!

so i have a problem . my transmission does not shift when i slam the pedal , my engine will just redline . it will shift when im light on the gas but its still laggy .
my car is not a mustang but a 1996 crownvictoria pi , but it has the same tranny as an auto mustang of that year i think . but i know you guys are gonna help me ... right ?

You need to take it to a trans shop. You're looking at a rebuild most likely. Check your fluid level to start and then call around to trans shops and see what they say.

Have you tried manually shifting the car from 1st all the way to OD?? If you can successfully do this, and it actually shifts, it may be one of the sensors on the tranny...

mabee good ... i have fluid above the transmission full line . so if theres to much fluid , this can happen ?

Not necessarily.. It depends how much extra there is.. Since ATF expands a lot when it heats up (that's pretty much how Auto's work), you're more than likely going to blow some seals or beat up a pump or 2.. I'm not the smartest Automatic guy, so there may be some better advice out there..
