anyone know where to get clear foglamps since we're on the subject
i got mine offa ebay $60 for both new, only problem is, the driverside one collects moisture, i need to take it off and find the hole if there is one or use some permatex to seal in the bulb, it's a pain in the butt cause there's already mildew on the chrome inside, so now i gotta find some way to clean it. Even with the clear foglights, there is still a big dif in the look of the silverstars and the fog bulbs, someday i'll get silverstar fogs, i love the way the have that high temp glow to them
[:@] My foglights look like crap. They're actually yellow. But it's a 96 and they are probably the original ones. Gonna get some clear ones. I was thinking about getting the lenses only. Seems like it would make more sense than buying the entire assembly.
are the yellow fog lights an American thing or is it a production year thing?
Just wondering.
My '03 has white fog lights.
wait till yours gets a couple of years older, the plastic lenses of the headlights and foglights just start to turn yellow and more opaque, its like the plastic starts to breakdown , i think it has a lot to do with how good you take care of it though if you keep it clean and keep your car in a garage or something... when i bought my car i had to wet sand and buff my headlights and they look decent now (and i have to put a coat of wax on them regularly to get them as near perfect as they can get,) but i would prefer new ones [&:], my fog lights were so bad i did buy new ones (plus i didn't like the way the lenses on the stock foglights filtered the light). as to whether or not it's an american thing, now that i think about it, i COULD be since the worst problems i see are on GM, ford and dodge cars, but its just a guess
yeah i WAXED em, there were some swirlmarks in them that i couldn't get out when i wet sanded them, the waxing takes the swirl marks out thus making them clearer
