Default Headlight aiming ?

I have an 04 GT and the headlights seem to be aimed ok but when you put the highbeams on, the light spreads wider rather than forward. I was wondering if this is due to the mirrors in the headlight assy and is a normal charactoristic or not, and what have you people done to change it. This is the only car I have that does this (I have 3 and a motorcycle), and really don't like it, sometime I come up to people or animals and don't see them soon enough for my liking (I live in the country and it gets really dark). I thought about puting different bulbs in, any reccomendations? I did a search and found nothing.

do have stock bulbs? I switched my bulbs out for Xenon bulbs and my brights are no-existant, it sucks big time, especially here in deer country.

Well high beams, if you didnt know, are not brighter lights, they are just aimed up higher, and i think all high beams give a wider light radius, my mustand does the same thing. I think one way you can tell is when you turn the high beams on the light should be up higher, like you should almost be lighting up the trees at a certain distance, about 12ft off the ground that is.

Yeah, i hate how the brights are pretty much less brilliant and useful than the low-beams + fog lights. i was having problems as well with animals... Since i had gift certificates for wal-mart from graduation and found nothing better to spend it on, i bought some silverstars which i highly recommend, especially if they are free they are without a doubt the whitest bulb, you can tell cause they make streets signs look like their glowing.... a whole lot more than the stock, or anyother kind for that matter. Also, i think diamond fog lights help, since i don't use high-beams, and if you look hard enough in autoparts stores, you can find light bulbs that fit our fog lights that are headlight bulbs for some other car so their 55watts compared to the typical fog lights 30-35 watts, they are a significant amount brighter, i alway have ppl flashing me when i have my lowbeams on, and i've just re-adjusted them to the proper height!... hope this helps!

Yeah I just saw a commercial for those silverstars and thought I would try them. The other one I was thinking about (if I can find them for a car) is the Euro Dezigns Xenon-Krypton 6000K H.I.D (D.O.T. approved). I have them in my VTX 1800R and they are awsome. Thanks for the info.
