rear main seal replacement?

should i replace my rear main seal and get a new one for the new motor or will the old one with 40k miles work??

never reuse old gaskets always replace one if you disasemble somehing even ford tech tell me that

It's a no brainer. The seal is cheap as hell and it would suck to find a leak as soon as you put that new engine in.

ok, thats what i was thinking but i wasnt sure because i have heard these gaskets are reusable..

I heard that too, but I rather put another in and not worry then see oil dripping out later on :P

yea that'd suck having to pull the tranny cuz that means the headers have to come off too which also means there goes the K member again... lol
