It would be nice to do it my self but i only have jackstands also, any ways the ford dealer down here thought it had a hydaulic clutch would you want to take your car there? Not me, Thanks for the help
Try a reliable tranny or mechanics shop, I find that dealers are way to expensive to have major work done, dealer shops charge close to 100 dollars per hour.
Funny I was just about to ask that, its an 2001. I tried what the manual suggested by pulling up on the clutch pedal, its says its supose to adjust itself. Is this correct or is there another way. Thanks
yeah thats the correct method. or you can do it alot easier by getting a firewall adjuster. thats what I use. You may have too much play in your clutch cable??? hey its a possibility
Also I smelt the clutch, it was stick in gear and when I got it out it would not go back into gear, it makes a noise and the pedal is very soft compaired to what it was..... I think its screwed.
