Default ???vt stage 1 cams smog legal???

well i live in smog crazy cali and want to know if anyone has the vt stage 1 n/a cams and if so do you pass smog every two years and who installed for you. thank you

No they aren't but i have seen a few guys say they passed with them in Cali on other forums.

coolthanks its a part that i dont want to have to change every 2 years so if anyone else has them and passed in cali let me know please so i can make up my mind if i should get them or not. thanks again

i dont think stage 1 cams are even worth the cost plus install plus tuning. its kind of like shorty headers if your not gonna go all out dont bother

Where can I find stage 1 VT cams? I was on another mustang forum (not a member of it though) and a guy said he got 25-30 rwhp from them.

Stage 1's are worth it if you are going to go with most or all bolt ons.
I have not heard of a case where they were installed and did not give a decent return in power.
For someone who is staying N/A it is a good option but tuning is important and eventhough they say you do not need to replace the valve springs I would recommend it especially if your motor has a few miles on it.

Don't forget that the install needs to be done by someone who knows what they are really doing and it won't be cheap as it involves plenty of labour time.

well my engine only has about 6k on it and i would have the svt guy at ford down here do it for me(side work) not shop rate my biggist issue is just passing smog
