We would recommend the Spec 3 as well. There is a stage 3+ which has a little better drivability (less chatter) but it costs quite a bit more. We have all Spec clutches on special right now for 10 % off the regular price. You can email or call us for a quote.

yeah, i read about the 3+ AFTER i had the 3 already installed. oh well, the 3 isn't bad at all really once it's broken in. still chattering a little with 600 miles on it, but nothing like when i first put it in. it's also easy on your foot.

centerforce dual friction clutch ftw, although the stage 3 is a reall good one. but if ur lookin for something good but kinda cheap go with teh king cobra. its a good clutch dont kno how much exactly its supposed to hold but its not too stiff. good luck

I like the King Cobra. It's fairly cheap and holds the power levels most people make. Get too much over 400 and you'll want someting more.

Since we're on the topic of clutches if I have a fly wheel that is drilled for an 11" or 10.5" clutch which would be better to go for. I can see the 11" holding more but it is also more mass... so I'm not sure which one would be better.

He's listening in on the discussion...
I'd advise against the King Cobra if your plan is 500+rwhp... the KC is only good out to about 350rwhp. Not to mention, if you have a 3650, you're kinda screwed... they don't make them for our cars. I'd listen to the folks that are preaching Spec... they're good clutches, not overly expensive, and you aren't going to have an involuntary 'pimp walk'.

i read an article in a mustang mag that said they put a smaller diameter clucthin a 03 cobra and it grips better than the stock size. the idea behind is that yes its smaller surface area so you think "hey not as much contact" but with that smaller size you are now applying more force to that clutch. its like trying to pierce something with a 1000lbs box, it takes a crap load of force, now put a smaller contact point on the box and now the force is multiplied
