nice i guess i need a tr3650 then
They are a lot better than the T45. I had a stock 98 GT and went through 3 of the T45s.
t-45s are notoriously crappy, some people get luckier than others

Even a super rough downshift will just lock up the tires. More clutch damage that tranny damage, but still nothing to worry about.

I guess im one of the lucky ones........so far, although 3rd is starting to get a bit eeeerie, but im thinking more clutch problems than tranny itself.....

Downshifting is tough on your engine, your engine is going from a free rev to a sudden load. It has more wear & tear on your engine than it will on your transmission. Not to mention it'll kill any gas mileage you hope to get.

uhhh, you won't kill your transmission by simply downshifting, it's not made of paper you know

Sometimes I'm convinced that my t45 is made of paper (or maybe its balsa wood...not sure).

rev matching is how ur supposed to downshift, saves the tranny and the clutch. Its when you slam the car into 3rd driving 80 mph when u put some stress on the tranny.
I can downshift at 90mph into 3rd and have no problems at all! Ofcourse I give her like 4500rpms to matchtranny speed..lol My car will do 115 no prob in 3rd. 3:27's

Shift-matching is (theoretically) if you take the car out of gear (say, 4th gear) without the clutch, and then rev the car to the RPMs appropriate for the car to get into the 3rd gear, you should be able to slide the shifter into third without the clutch. It's basically taking the car from the RPM in fourth gear to the matching the third gear RPM for the same speed. Be careful, though, if you're doin about 5k in fourth gear, downshiftin to third is a bad idea
