I didn't know it was photoshopped, but I've gone on AM and looked at customer rides and there are a few other GTs with HR springs and 18" bullitts and it looks pretty close. I'll only be going with 285 which is wide enough and my car isn't supercharged and it won't be anytime soon, so I don't want my car to look like its puting out about 450HP and have some guy in a Vet want to race me.

ORIGINAL: stanggang1892

stinger is badass the other one blows
Why does the other one blow?
I've had the other one which is the better quality XR1 catback for 11 years now and it is still as nice as the day i installed it. The sound is deep and muscular and i get nothing but compliments from it. Not everyone wants to be loud and bring un-needed attention to their cars. During local driving it sounds verygood and docile but once you get on it the sound wakes up rather nicely.

I wouldnt go as far as to say they suck, but for the money *since they're MORE than the stingers* it just doesnt seem like that good of a buy to me... but, to each his own..

ive heard good things about steeda, and if its nearly identical to the regular chambered borlas, then I cant imagine its too shabby

Something I researched when looking for my Borla Stingers is that Ford Racing sells them under the FRPP brand name but is exactly the same catback as the Borla stinger since they are made by Borla themselves. The Borla part # is 140067 and the one sold by FRPP part # is M-5230-MS. I sent an email to Borla asking them if they made it and they replied that they did and that both systems are exactly the same, only difference is the name on the mufflers and tailpipes. Saved me around $100 since I got the FRPP one and love the sound.
