Default The two borla exhausts

I've done a search and can't get a clear answer as to whats the difference between the two Borla CB systems for my car. I heard a sound clip of a GT with the stinger CB and a MRT catted H and I love the sound. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the two besides one being more expensive?

Hi. That may have been my vid lol. The Stingers are referred to as the 'aggressive' catback on some online stores, and are cheeper than the regular one. The difference is that the Stingers have straight though mufflers, the regular Borla Catback are chambered. Stingers will be louder, regular will be a little deeper andquieter. Here's a clip.

I have the Steeda's on my car... although its a cobra with a 4V which makes a difference, but they sound pretty deep tho. They are not as loud as the stingers, but couple them with the MRT catted H and they still sound really mean. Steeda is made by Borla so they are similar to them. The other Borla catback is one of the quietest catbacks that are made.

Yep, like said earlier,, if you see the pictures of the catbacks, you can almost immediately tell which one is the stingers..

they have the cylidrical shaped muffler that say BORLA on them, and the gigantic 4" rolled stainless steel tips on the end..

+1 for Stingers sounding excellent

Thanks for the info. Yes dsg04gt it was your vid that got me hooked, once again though, your car sounds awsome. I think the exhaust is going to wait now because I've been torn between new wheels/tires and exhaust, but after seeing pics of that Bullitt with the 18 Bullitt wheels that someone posted earlier, I think I have to go the wheel/tire/lowering rout before exhaust. My shadow grey gt wouldlook pretty mean with 18 anthracite Bullitts and H&R super sport springs. The flow 40s will have to tide me over untill then; but at least I know what exhaust I like now.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. By the way, the wheels will look really nice, but remember.. those rears were like 335's.. won'tbe that wide. That pic was photoshopped too, so it wasnt an actual drop, but the stance looked sick with the fender meeting the tire. If you wanna go really low, look into coil overs.
