Default Blew the motor today!!!!!!!!!

Well took my car to the mechanic's shop today for a oil change and they did not put the plug back in!!!!! Needless to say i got down the street and the motor locked up. So the question is he said he would get a new long block from Ford and put it in there, But there is a shop near hear that does all my tuning and he said he can do a forged kit on my car for about the same and a long block From Ford.. Do the long block, or the forged block?

get the estimate from the ford dealership for parts + install of a brand new motor and make the mechanic write you a fat check.

No no lawsuit we work very close with these guys through my dads shop and they really are good guys. They did say they would do whatever it took to make it right. I felt really bad by the time the wrecker picked me up and we got back they had allready fired the guy and he had gone home.

What does that mean. The kid screwed up it happens and he lost his job over it. I just wanted to know if i should go with the forged kit or the new long block from Ford? Im not trying to screw the shop at all.

...and thats why I do all my own oil changes!

That really sucks...especially for resale value. But hey, at least you get a new motor!

Go forged.

What do you guys think about stroking it while its out? The speed shop said not a good idea on this motor because its not good on the barrings.
