Default e brake, quick fix?

hey yalls, just wondering would it be a bastard to tighten up my e brakes? iI habve like NOTHING there when i pull it, ive pulled it at 100 (cuz i knew nuthign would happen or hoped so) and it literally just was like nuthign was happening, ill prolly need new pads too cuz ive accidently driven it with the ebrakes on before thats how bad they are. So how hard is it to tighten it?

I dunno if this holds true for a '96, but the new edges have a ratcheting mechanism that self-adjusts the e-brake each time you pull it, so you don't need to adjust it.

ever sn95 i driven had that weird e-brake syndrome. If u replace ur pads im sure it will tighten a bit. but besides that i believe its a cable that u tighten

My e-brake holds pretty well... I tested it one time in the garage when my foot slipped off the clutch. Thank goodness for slick garage floors and a good e-brake!

Every Mustang since '94 has had disc in the rear. Doesn't matter if it is a 3.8 or a Cobra. All disc.

my 98's e-brake was very different compared to my 02 i have now. it felt like there was more slack left to be tightened up.

That's because there's a Factory Recall on the Ebrake line! They add a shim or something at the lever? I'm pretty sure they still have to honor the recall if you bring it to a local ford dealer!
