This is pretty much a matter of looks since you plan on doing the PI swap anyway. I would go with the New Edge because we > SN95

i like the idea of modding my car seeing the improvements, but this whole 98gt vs. 96-97gt has just been brought to my attention by yourmom6990.
i feel like an idiot because i didn't even notice that the 98gt had more hp than the 96-97gt its not that much, but now i have got even more **** to think about. lol

I say go for the '96-'98. New edges are all over the place. And if you do the PI swap, you'd suprise a lot of cars. People know they're dogs as it is. And you can get a '96 GT for less than $4,000 and the PI swap would cost between $600-$1,500.

you'd be very lucky to find a 96 GT for less than $4000, most of the time they sell at about $6K, i was very lucky to get mine for $4500 cash.

i thought the pi swap would cost more than that
what would it be with the installation and everything you need to do a complete pi swap
and the suprise affect was one the reasons i like the 96 to 98 better
but i do like the hood of the 99-04 better and that would probably be at lest $250.
anyways how much for the pi swap with intstall and everything
this will be the determining factor as to whether i get a 96-98 or a 99-04
