Default 1997 Cobra 500whp?

alright with this setup with a safe tune is 500whp attainable?

magnaflow catback
Intercooled Procharger @10lbs
Lightning MAF
...and remember i wanna keep it safe....if i cant get 500 then im happy with anything over 450...

probably more around 440 is my guess, there was a similar one around here with almost the same setup that did 437

well if 500 isnt gonna get it then what do i need for 450?, btw im sure blower cams would net me the 500whp mark correct?

I'm not sure what you have done for suspension but if your looking at mostly stock suspension after the aboved mentioned mods I would look into doing that. It's an overused but very true saying. You can have all the power in the world but it's worthless if you can't get it to the ground.

You can exceed 450rwhp if you want, but you better have the money for a new shortblock.

Your rods are only good for 450RWHP & that alone is pushing it. You shouldn't exceed 420RWHP or TQ to be safe.

Ive been told this block can handle upwards of 500whp on a conservative tune....

nahh ur gonna need a forged block. u can get to 500 whp but u need to crank up that boost

Your block if preped right can handle over 1200hp. But your internals will give out long before that. The rods like more then likely be the first to go. I wouldn't give them much past 450rwhp.

Exactly what he said. The 96-98 cobra blocks are bullitproof, but the internals are not really any better than a gt's. anything over 400 and you're starting to get iffy.
