265 too wide in front?
I'm looking at buying some Kumho MX tires for the stang. I just ordered 18x9 and 18x10 rims and i'm going with 295-35-18 in back and the smallest size they make them in with a 35 profile is 265. I wanna keep the same tire and profile all around, so do you think 265 is too wide for the front tires?

RE: 265 too wide in front?
a 265/35 will be much shorter in outside diameter than a 285/35. 35 is not a constant measurement. The 35 means 35% of the width of the tire while the 285 is the width.
You may get some of the 18 inch guys to tell you a good front/rear tire setup.
I'm running 315/35/17s and 245/45/17s and they are the same diameter..

i'm thinking of running a set up like that.
i'm running 315s in the back for sure,
but i'm still debating on how big to go in the front.

how many of you guys are running taller profiles in front as opposed to the profile on the tires in back??? Ex: 295-35-18 rear and 245-40-18 front.

i run 275 all around, no problems except when i do a U turn sometimes it makes a weird rubbing sound but i can usually do them without wheel all the way around =p (just rev and drop clutch 70%)

RE: 265 too wide in front?
You'll be fine with a 265 in the front. I'm running that with my 18's on the front, and I have no clearance issues, and it looks good. I have a 285 rear, on the 18x10 rim, and it isn't wide enough, so the 295 will fit better. As for the profile, I went with a 35 all the way around, and I don't notice a difference.
