Default Another Exhaust Thread

I know there are quite a few of these threads around, but I need some help.

Currently, I have only a set of Flowmaster 40 Series mufflers. That's it. I'm looking for a bit more, though; I want a bit of a different sound, as just the Flows alone isn't a enough. I want a bit of a rasp, if you know what I mean by that. Something similar to the exhaust sound from the clip in this recent thread: https://mustangforums.com/m_2747293/tm.htm

What's going to give me that sound, for a decent price? Is the Offroad H or X pipe going to do that? And what's the difference (In function and sound) of the H and X pipes?

Obviously, I don't much about this, and I appreciate any and all help. Thanks in advance for any input.

Keep your flows and get anO/R H. Your car will sound awesome. Even a catted H will sound really good.

if youre wanting a raspy sound go with the x pipe...the h has more of a deep muscle tone. as far as function the x will give a little more hp where as the h gives a little more torque. my advise is if you want the sound like in the clip get the kit that he has or something similar.

you said you want a bit rasp but hen you say you want it to sound like the other car that clip has a car with an h pipe and has a deeper tone not very raspy.

It's got more of a rasp than mine. Especially in the first part of the video, with the first set up.

if you want raspy, go with an x an slp lm1s or lm2's. Basically an x with a straight through muffler will give you what you're looking for.

Err, make sure you know what raspy is before you buy into it. Check the sound clips that are stickied in this section and look for SLP LM1's with either O/R H or X.. watch the clips.. that is rasp. If you wan't something close to that without changing your flow's, get an O/R X. Ive heard the o/r x with flows in real life and it sounds great, but it actually doesnt really rasp lol......... just get an O/R X or H and chances are that you will enjoy either sound. You can also try looking at the Flowmaster sound clips for the ones paired with various midpipes, then choose.
