i have a 96 cobra with a vortech supercharger msd ignition along with other mods that i could not tell you becausei did not put them in. But i do know that i am pushing 525 hp through it and when running good it is a beast among children out on the streets. So here is what is going on all of a suden when i drive it up the road ( say 10 or more miles ) my fuel to gas rartio meter starts going wacko i loose some power and even some sound out of my pipes and then comes some gas smell like its dumping to much fuel then comes some back fireing yet if i continue to drive it (if i can handle the embaressment of the shot guns coming out the rear) it will go away, yet it usally comes back after awhile.

wow man, i wish i could offer some advice but that sounds very strange to me. If I were you I'd just take it to a real respectable mechanic and get some diagnostics run on it, that'll be the only way to figure out what's exactly wrong.
