does anybody elses 4.6 go to about the r in normal on the temp guage when sitting and when driving to the N in normal and if not what might be wrong

how about this my car has a slight smell of antifreeze could it be that when it is idling it gets warmer cuz the pressure is not as high

ok i found my raidiator has a crack in the plastic so im putting a new one in tomorrow i heard a few fords will idle a little warmer then drop back down but also after i fix the radiator it should level out am i right or not

if it idles a little warmer than drops then your thermostat is opening up...its not too abnormal to notice a slight flux in the temp guage

another question will the coolant level light come on if its too full too or only to low cuz it is full and it comes on

there's a mark on the side for what the system should consider full, if not check the bobber in the coolant resevior, it is what triggers the check coolant light, make sure its not being hung up either

the car will idle up the the M in normal and when it runs it will run at N is that much difference normal i will check the bobber
