That depends. Usually, it wont be the supercharger that breaks. However, if its catastrophic failure, and you throw a rod and blow out the block, there will be alot of metal shrapnel running around the engine bay. The supercharger could be hit in the crossfire. It would be a case to case basis on if it gets damaged or can be rebuilt etc.

you shouldn't have any issues. I wouldn't worry about it.

Usually you'll break/burn parts inside the motor when it starts detonating or to much boost. Don't personally know of anyone hurting their blower by running lean but if its bad enough, I guess some flying parts could get at it. Rare I think, but possible. Good luck.

There isn't much chance you can "blow up" a supercharger. You can ruin a bearing etc and need it rebuilt, but there isn't much chance that something coming from the engine will destroy the charger.

If you acutally "blow" up the engine its either because you don't have a good tune or you don't have the rev limiter set correctly (also in the tune) and you overrev the motor. RPM and detonation is what kills FI engines (plus bad tunes).

The only real danger of putting it on a high miles motor is if the motor is already having problems in the first place (or getting ready to). You can loose compression etc etc with high miles (with or without the FI) and the charger only adds stress to the engine. However, a higher milage engine should not be any "weaker" so far as the rods/pistons/crank etc etc.

I put my charger on a 70K miles, 420 WHP, and almost a year later have had no problems.

rev limiters can be dangerous to a supercharged car because while you are in boost the rev limiter will cut fuel and that will cause detonation

From what I understand, when you get a dyno tune, the tuner will usually change your rev limiter so that instead of pulling fuel, it pulls the spark, which is safer.
