Not trying to be an ***, but are you doing this because of performance? I mean what would you save 10lbs? Granted the rear seats in our car are worthless unless you are under 4yrs old. What are you guys doin with your seats I am in the market to buy a black leather upper if you wanna sell them?
My back seats gettn the boot because im putting a system in my car soon and my trunk is a no-go for storage

Still if its 50lbs, from what I have heard is that every 100lbs = .1s of your time. So 50lbs would equal 5 hundredths of a second off of your time in the 1/4? I would rather have my back seat, but whatever floats your guys boats![8D]

My main purpose would to be doing something different and I don't know about your seats but theres no one allowed in the back of my stang. I show my car a lot and it would be nice to put some more eye candy in the interior. Depends on what is significant to you 50 plus lbs is what your losing and at the track that is a dam good amount of weight to easily take out......its all preference.....
not so, the mdf most likly weighs more....[&:]

If your trying to save weight - dont waste your time - and have a junkie lookin stang to save more like 10lbs... If do that for weight then you should gu the entire interior - put in a cage, hollow the doors and all that mess, other wise your kidding yourself... like a honda with an aem sticker. better suspension components. lighter drivetrain, that stuff will make a difference. Racing seats save you about 60lbs i think. Do something like that.... unless you just hate people wanting to ride IN DAMN CAR ALL THE FUKN TIME!!!! - LoL

My reasoning is more for looks/uniqueness as opposed to weight which is a benefactor obv and a lot more than 10lbs..on the technical side I know what your saying tho....

I bought one off some guy on ebay for $50... I had it in for a while, you can see it in the back behind my seat. It was fine, but I took it out because my car became way too loud after that. But I just installed some sound deadening in my car, it added weight yes... But its soo much nicer now... Anyways, you should just build your own, I wouldnt pay $200 for one. You can make a much nicer one too... I want to make one for my car out of fiberglass molded to flow with the interior and then cover it in half leather and carpet. Just make some templets out of cardboard trial fit them and then cut it out of wood or what ever material you choose... I totally agree about it making the interior look so much better.
