this is a loaded question... with a good builder both are equally as safe - however buying the parts on ebay and finding a good deal on build is going to be "cheaper" - because you can get better higher rated parts - for approx the same price as your typical forged motor.... the differences in max might be 700- compared to 900-1000... probly wont make a difference in all reality to 99% people and everybody on pump gas, but you get the point
