Would this be a good shiftkit "TransGo Performance Shift Kits" for an 2000 automatic GT or what would you recommend ?

I had good luck raising shift points and firmness using a chip in a Lincoln MK VIII.A handheld tuner would probably be better though.You can take this all with a grain of salt because I really have no first hand experience with a Mustang on this subject.

my diablo tuner i raised the shift firmness all they way up and it made a huge difference..

no they both would help. So would a stall convertor.

The tuner does more things than just alter shift points, but if that is all you want to do with it then yea it would be a waste to get both
Stall converters help you out if your a heavy drag racer, but won't do much else. And it will probably reduce your fuel economy.

Don't adjust shift firmness with a tuner. All it does is increase the line pressure. Go with a shift kit instead.
