Default slight problem

ok, so it seems whenever i get gas in my car and start it up just after it revs up really high like into the 2200-2500 range, then takes alil while to come down, then wen i give it some gas the rpms jump up and then jus drop to almost nothn then rise up alil, now wen i start to drive and i push the clutch to shift second the rpms drop so low u kinda have match the rpms to the trans speed otha wise it clanks. then after alil while it jus goes away?! its the wierdest thing ever, and i really need to figure it out cuz im sure if it does that wen i have to go to emissions this month ill fail immediately, any help?

wierd, my car kinda does the same thing sometimes, i think it's my TPS or IAC, you might wanna check those first. sounds like it's alot worse than what mines doing, so it might be something else or more.

while the car is running, tap the iac with the but of a screw driver(not too hard) and see if the idle changes any. if it does, your iac is bad and you will need to get a new one in order for that problem to go away.

My car does the same thing only maybe worse I think. The Idle Air Control is bolted on the front of the plenum right? It has the tube that comes from the intake that goes into the plenum. Yea mine almost dies when I am downshifting. I have heard that you can try to take the IAC off and clean it out with carb cleaner. If that doesn't work then buy a new one but save the old one because if it doesn't fix it then you can reuse the old one because them things aint cheap from what I heard. I have also noticed something else. I have a small hole that was drilled in my throttle body plate.
