it could still be bad though. most of the time if the iac is bad, thats the way you can tell. do you have a buddy or someone around you that has another mustang that you could borrow his and try that??

if you can find a decent price, it will be about $70.

ok, so it seems whenever i get gas in my car and start it up just after it revs up really high like into the 2200-2500 range, then takes alil while to come down, then wen i give it some gas the rpms jump up and then jus drop to almost nothn then rise up alil, now wen i start to drive and i push the clutch to shift second the rpms drop so low u kinda have match the rpms to the trans speed otha wise it clanks. then after alil while it jus goes away?! its the wierdest thing ever, and i really need to figure it out cuz im sure if it does that wen i have to go to emissions this month ill fail immediately, any help?
Yeah like everyone else on here has said...Start with your IAC, but while your checking it out...It would be wise to change out your fuel filter as well...My car would idle up really high then come back down....some times it would even die...I checked everything...finally one day i decided to change the fuel filter and that stopped it.....I was so happy...

Well, i think i may have fixed it, i had one of my coolant temp sensors unplugged so my fan would run constantly, otherwise it wouldnt run at all........ but i hooked that up and looked up one of md's tricks to put the fan on a switch and did that, and my check engine light went out and car seems to run smooth jus then next test it to go get some gas and see if it does it to me, and if it does then im def changin the fuel filter cuz im sure that hasnt been changed in along time! thanks guys
